I think that for the woman with the car it was her first experience with another woman, she enjoyed it but that's as far as it goes. But for the other woman it meant something more
I have changed my mind about the ending. I now think the woman with the car has feelings for the other woman and wants them to meet again, but the other woman is unable to continue their relationship. Perhaps because she has a girlfriend who is away at the time but who she feels committed to. Though she would very much like to see her new lover again she does not want to break off her existing relationship
